In this workshop you will learn step by step how to develop and fine tune your ability to receive accurate and relevant guidance and information from your guides, angels and a truly infinite number of other sources.

We will cover all the basics for those who are new to channeling as well as go on to provide some more advanced tools and techniques for those who already have some experience with this form of communication.

Some of the things we will be exploring are: the important prerequisites for channeling that will enable us to receive the most accurate information; the various ways in which we can actually receive information; and the methods for setting up and maintaining a clear “static free” channel. As well we will be looking at all the possible stumbling blocks we may encounter that may interfere with us getting the information we desire.

We will also be answering the most asked questions in respect to channeling: “How do I know this is not my imagination? Is this just all in my head?” Learn how you can tell.

And time permitting, Donna will provide a one-on-one mini coaching session with each participant.
This will be a very interactive workshop with lots of time for questions and discussion.

Please bring a pendulum if you have one and also a small notebook to be used exclusively for your channeled writings.

Come prepared to have fun and enjoy some lively and enlightening conversation.

When: Saturdays from May 2, 2009 until May 31, 2009

Organization: Cheese Boutique
 Where: Cheese Boutique, Toronto, ON
More Info: What started a half dozen years ago has quickly become a Toronto tradition.

The idea was simple enough: gather 10 of Toronto’s finest chefs and let them cook with Cheese Boutique ingredients to create delectable dishes. The foodie community mixes and mingles with contemporary culinary heroes in an interactive environment. Festivalgoers can observe cooking demonstrations and indulge in scrumptious samples concocted by Toronto’s top chefs.

Each weekend features two chefs conducting a cooking demonstration using Cheese Boutique ingredients. After watching how dishes are delectably assembled, the audience is invited to sample the final product. A sommelier pairs a wine to compliment each dish.

The annual selection process beings in January with the gathering of an in-house committee. Criteria are established based on past achievements, critical acclaim, style of cuisine, experience, potential and popular demand. This year the participating chefs are: Anthony Walsh, John Higgins, Donna Dooher, Patrick McMurray, Anne Yarymowich, Massimo Capra, Mike Steh, David Garcelon, Robert Bartley and Jonathan Gushue.

Every year the Festival of Chefs also features a Chef’s Table at which two invited special guests act as ambassadors of our costumers.

The Festival of Chefs is a celebration of culinary excellence, of passion, of fine ingredients and of sharing knowledge.

What: TICP: Attachment, Intersubjectivity and Mentalization   tell a friend     single event

When: Saturday, May 23, 2009

Organization: Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis
Where: George Ignatieff Theatre, U of T, Toronto, ON
More Info: “Attachment, Intersubjectivity and Mentalization: Clinical and Developmental Implications”

Speaker: Dr. Stephen Seligman

May 23, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

George Ignatieff Theatre, University of Toronto

This program will use the observation of the emotionally rich world of infant-parent interaction to show how the emerging psychoanalytic concepts of intersubjectivity, attachment and "mentalization" can enhance clinical work. Rather than approaching these ideas as abstractions, the program will approach them from the "inside out:" We will look at how babies and their caregivers are constantly shaping each other's actions and internal worlds, depending on one another for their core experiences of being protected, effective and understood in the world. With this approach, both established object-relational theories and new ideas about attachment relationships and the development of the reflective capacity can become clearer. As we transpose these images and experiential understandings to the therapist-patient situation, new vitality and creativity can open up in the details of our everyday work.

Presented by the Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis (TICP)
